Topic #1 - 4th of July Family Funday at Tidelands Park
Come enjoy a family friendly, alcohol-free event at Tidelands Park this 4th of July. We encourage you to BYOP (Bring Your Own Picnic) and participate in events throughout the day.

Kick off your day with the Morro Bay Mile Skateboard Race. Registration begins at 9 AM and the race starts at 10 AM. After the race, join us for the official ribbon cutting ceremony for the new Morro Creek Bike and Pedestrian Bridge, followed by the Bike Parade that will travel the Embarcadero to Tidelands Park.

There will be ongoing daytime events at Tidelands Park from 12 PM to 5 PM - live music, children's activities, old fashioned lawn games for all ages and Christmas in July deals at participating businesses.

Topic #4 - Water Reclamation Facility Project Update
At the April 30, 2015 CMB/CSD Joint Powers Agreement meeting, the Cayucos Sanitary District presented its resolution to the City that declares their intent to independently pursue alternatives for wastewater treatment and water reclamation.

At the same meeting, the City Council moved to continue working toward a regional facility that would serve both communities and left the door open for the CSD to join together with the City for their mutual benefit.

Topic #5 -  Local Economic Action Plan (LEAP)

On March 24, 2015 LEAP Action Teams presented their initiatives to the City Council for review and endorsement.

At its October 14, 2014, meeting, the City Council approved support for the development of a Local Economic Action Plan (LEAP) program which requires the voluntary leadership and participation from business and community members for its success.
