About the Division

Creating Community Through People, Parks & Programs

Recreation Services is committed to providing quality recreational programming and opportunities in a responsive and courteous manner. Enhancing the quality of life, building a sense of community, providing positive role models to children and youth, improving self-esteem, and contributing to the health and safety of all residents and visitors is the top priority. The Recreation Services is comprised of the following areas serving the Estero Bay Communities:

Administration

Administration supports all areas with numerous reports, billing, budgeting, personal, and clerical duties. Along with support duties, Administration coordinates activity classes and affiliated clubs. Administration also oversees the online registration program, manages office functions, and processes all City permits, including, film, facility, and park reservations.

Recreational Sports

Recreational Sports provides adult and youth sports leagues along with tournaments, the Brian Waterbury Memorial Rock to Pier Run Marathon, Pool Programs at the MBHS Aquatics Center and the Junior Lifeguard program. Recreational Sports also works with youth and adult sports advisory boards to provide All-Star opportunities for some youth sports leagues. Our youth sports programs would not be possible without the support of our volunteers and sponsors. If you are interested in volunteering to coach, be a committee member, or sponsoring a team, please let us know. You can make the difference in the life of a child.

Youth Services meets the needs and interests of elementary, middle and high school students. Youth Services provides a before and after school enrichment program for Del Mar Elementary students, licensed by the State of California.
