As part of Plan Morro Bay, the City’s General Plan/Local Coastal Program update project, the City is considering proposed zoning changes to its Short-Term Vacation Rental Ordinance. On May 15, 2018, the Planning Commission considered public input and General Plan Advisory Committee input on short-term vacation rentals. The Planning Commission recommendations have been incorporated into the updated draft Vacation Rental Ordinance and are available online for review at http://morrobayca.gov/DocumentCenter/View/11891/Draft-Short-Term-Rentals-w-PC-recommendations. These include draft requirements related to parking, transferability, and establishing new buffer distance requirements.
Additional public comment and input on the development of the Short-Term Vacation Rental Ordinance is welcome. The City invites you to attend a community forum hosted by Councilmembers Marlys McPherson and John Headding on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 from 6-8pm at the Morro Bay Community Center, 1001 Kennedy Way.
